In this issue, we feature plans for our annual Benefit Reception April 12. Illinois State Treasurer Michael Frerichs is keynote speaker. Our featured member is Olivet Nazarene University and President John C. Bowling, now in his 28th year leading the Bourbonnais-based university. We report on our member school data project, now posted on the ACI website, and we report on our micro-internships partnership with Parker Dewey. We welcome three new corporate board members in this issue, reported details of our Wealth Advisors Breakfast Dec.6, 2018, and included a feature from Paycor, an ACI corporate partner. Finally, our feature student stories are Tiniya “Tini” Wright-Bell of Judson University and Kelsey Schultz of McKendree University.

In this issue, we report that our 2017-2018 Annual Report is available, featuring ACI members, leaders and programs, plus several student profiles. Our feature member is Dominican University and President Donna M. Carroll, now in her 25th year leading the university. We welcome two new members to our organization, Illinois Wesleyan University, Bloomington, and St. Augustine College, Chicago., and we welcome Dr. Julie Murray-Jensen, who will soon become Blackburn College president. Paul Szeliski is a new member of the ACI Board of Trustees, plus we feature news from corporate supporters Frost, UPS and Baker Tilly. Finally, our feature student stories are Montse Cancino-Aguilar, Knox College and Martel McGee, Millikin University.

In this issue, we report that the Council of Independent Colleges (CIC), with support from the UPS Foundation, awarded ACI a matching grant of $19,050 for a series of boot camps beginning in fall 2019 for students of member colleges and universities. The boot camps will offer ideas for resume development, interviewing/presentation skills, workplace technology skills, and financial literacy and career paths in financial services. Our feature member is Quincy University and its rise from difficult financial circumstances in 2016-2017. We feature ACI scholars Jacolby Maxwell of Monmouth College and Rachel Rowlett of Trinity Christian College. ACI will host three significant events this fall, including our annual professional development conference, Nov. 2, in Chicago, a Nov. 7 HR, Diversity and Inclusion breakfast and a Dec. 6 Wealth Advisors breakfast. We also feature corporate partner Michael Best and another partner, The Back Office Cooperative, which offers ACI members “financial sustainability through expense reduction.”
