Summer 2017

Elmhurst College and President Troy D. VanAken, and Millikin University and President Patrick E. White are featured in this issue. We announce that ACI’s Peer Mentoring Program will expand to include nine member campuses in fall 2017. Be sure to read about our outstanding scholars: Collin Tatone, University of St. Francis, Sarah Fosnaugh, Olivet Nazarene University and Callie Ellis, Knox College. We’re pleased to report the success of ACI’s 65th Anniversary Benefit Reception, plus actions by the board of trustees to welcome Wheaton College as a new ACI member, elect new ACI board leaders and approve plans for the new fiscal year.  We also report that ACI was awarded a grant for a career fair in 2018 for students at member institutions, and we featured two of our corporate partners: BLDD Architects and Michael Best.

Spring 2017

This issue focuses on Benedictine University President Michael S. Brophy and Augustana College President Steven C. Bahls. We announce an exciting scholarship with Call One for science, technology or business majors. Details are announced for ACI’s 65th Anniversary Benefit Reception and a full slate of ACI professional development conferences. Two ACI corporate partners, Risk Strategies and Sikich, offer suggestions and advice for member colleges and universities. In addition, we welcome three new corporate partners this year. Finally, we tell stories about two ACI scholarship recipients: Mason LeMay of Olivet Nazarene University and Timothy Lacy of Blackburn College.


Winter 2016

The Winter 2016 issue focuses on two ACI member colleges and their presidents: Illinois College President Barbara A. Farley and Eureka College President Jamel Santa Cruze Wright. ACI’s expanded Peer Mentoring Program is highlighted through mentors and mentees at Quincy University. The Fall 2016 issue focuses on success and innovation at Rockford University, students scholars from Monmouth College and Principia College, ACI’s expanded Peer Mentoring Program, a new ACI Named Scholarship program, plus a UPS scholarship program for students at ACI-affiliated colleges.  News includes a new ACI partnership with The Back Office Cooperative, fall professional development conferences and new Board of Trustees members.  Finally, save the date for our spring fundraising reception,April 21, 2017, in Chicago!

Winter 2015

Read about Monmouth College’s commitment to food security and Concordia University Chicago’s efforts to prepare students for a global society. Featured students from Millikin University and Trinity Christian College are recipients of scholarships and grants provided through ACI.


Fall 2015

ACI can capture as much as $50,000 in new scholarship dollars designated for rising sophomores who find themselves without sufficient funds to return to ACI-member institutions after their freshman year – thanks to a Scholarship Challenge Grant from Council of Independent Colleges (CIC).

Summer 2015

More than fifty “friends and family” attended ACI’s Summer Garden Party on Saturday, June 6, 2015, at a beautiful lakeside estate, in Lake Forest, Illinois. The event featured participants in ACI’s Peer Mentoring Program, with student speakers from Dominican University and North Park University.
