ACI Board Approves Budget, Re-elects Members and Appoints New Trustees

On April 19, the ACI Board of Trustees met to discuss a robust agenda and plot the course of activity for the coming year. Among the meeting highlights, the Board of Trustees renewed the two-year term of Trustee Gene Crume, President of Judson University and approved the appointment of three new Trustees: Dave Barnett, DeVry University, Peter Fissinger, Fissinger Fundraising, LLC and Passion Johnson, Tawani Enterprises. Congratulations Gene and welcome Dave, Peter and Passion!

In addition, the Trustees reviewed ACI financials and approved a $1.1 million dollar budget for the coming year. The approved budget reflects the continuation of ACI school memberships and expected growth of events like the April 11 Breakfast Forum, as well as the deepening of partnership opportunities with organizations like Braven to further support member school students.

Finally, the Board heard a presentation on a recent strategic communications assessment that took place over the previous six months. The assessment explored ACI internal/external capabilities, messaging and branding as well as audience engagement. Recommendations include increased visibility for ACI leadership, members and partners, expanded digital and social media capabilities as well as continued enhancements to the ACI website.

The next Board of Trustees meeting will be held on Thursday, July 11 at 4:00 p.m. via Zoom.
