A Farewell to Trustee Bob DiMeo

A Legacy of Impact and Generosity

After six years of dedicated service to the Associated Colleges of Illinois, Bob DiMeo is concluding his tenure on the ACI Board of Trustees, but not his interest. His service has been marked by thoughtful leadership, generous support, and an unwavering commitment to educational access and career development for underrepresented students.

At ACI, Bob played a critical role in contributing matching funds for program challenges provided by the Council of Independent Colleges programs, focused on helping students transition successfully from college to career. He was also instrumental in helping to finance a pilot program with PROLIFIC, designed to prepare student-athletes for career success beyond college.

He consistently supported all major ACI events, including the annual Benefit Luncheon, the Breakfast Forum, and provided significant operating support throughout his term. His values are reflected in his extensive work with nonprofit organizations and his contributions to the field of fiduciary education.

Bob’s commitment to education runs deep. He and his wife, Terri, count education as one of their core giving pillars—a belief they’ve embodied throughout their continued investment in ACI’s mission.

We are deeply grateful for Bob’s leadership, mentorship, and heart for students. We thank him for helping shape a stronger, more inclusive future for higher education in Illinois, and look forward to his continued insight and friendship as an advocate of our work.
